Peak Performance Academy Story
Our Story
Peak Performance Academy began as a vision rooted in trust, mentorship, and a shared commitment to excellence. As the founder of PPA, my journey started in high school, where I met AP—a coach whose guidance and belief in my potential left a lasting impact. More than just a trainer, AP challenged me to grow as an athlete and a person, helping lay the foundation for the values that drive this academy today.
Years later, after college, our paths crossed again. I had a clear vision: to build a space where athletes could grow not just physically, but mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
At PPA we’re not just building better athletes—we’re shaping leaders and leaving a legacy rooted in respect, resilience, and fearless pursuit of greatness.

Aaron Garland is the founder of Peak Performance Academy and a dedicated coach with a passion for helping athletes reach their full potential. Coming out of high school, Aaron received over 15 Division I offers and went on to play football at the University of Connecticut, where he earned a degree in Political Science. Aaro

Aaron Garland is the founder of Peak Performance Academy and a dedicated coach with a passion for helping athletes reach their full potential. Coming out of high school, Aaron received over 15 Division I offers and went on to play football at the University of Connecticut, where he earned a degree in Political Science. Aaron’s coaching career includes serving as the defensive back coach at Fenwick High School, where he helped lead the team to a state championship victory in 2021. With a strong foundation in athletics and leadership, Aaron is committed to mentoring athletes both on and off the field, empowering them to excel in their sport and life. In addition to his coaching, Aaron is also an NFL agent with a strong network of scouts and NFL personnel, helping athletes navigate their journey to the next level.

Arthur Porter brings over a decade of experience as a dedicated and accomplished trainer. With a strong background in coaching at the varsity level for programs such as St. Patrick, Fenwick, and Oak Park River Forest (OPRF), Arthur has served as both a secondary coach and mentor to countless athletes. Arthur Porter brings over a decade of experience as a dedicated and accomplished trainer. With a strong background in coaching at the varsity level for programs such as St. Patrick, Fenwick, and Oak Park River Forest (OPRF), Arthur has served as both a secondary coach and mentor to countless athletes. In addition to his coaching career, Arthur has 10 years of NFL experience with the Chicago Bears as an equipment assistant. His involvement with the Bears has provided him with invaluable insights into the professional game, which he uses to mentor and develop the athletes he trains. Arthur has a proven track record of developing talent, training multiple Division I athletes from as early as 7th grade and guiding them through high school. His expertise, leadership, and passion for athletic development are the driving forces behind his impactful work at Peak Performance Academy, where he continues to inspire athletes to reach their full potential.
